"What, therefore, is our task today? Should I answer "Faith, hope and love?" That sounds beautiful. But I would say - courage. No, even that is not challenging enough to be the whole truth. Our task today is recklessness. For what we Christians lack is not psychology or literature... we lack a holy rage - the recklessness which comes from the knowlege of God and humanity. The ability to rage when justice lies prostrate on the streets, and when the lie rages across the face of the earth... a holy anger about the things that are worng in the world. To rage against the ravaging of God's earth and and the desruction of God's people. To rage when little children must die of hunger, while the tables of the rich are sagging with food. To rage at the senseless killing of so many, and the madness of militaries. To rage against the lie that calls the threat of death and the strategy of destrustion peace. To rage against COMPLACENCY. To restlessly seek that recklessness that will challenge and seek to change human history until it conforms to the norms of the kingdom of God."
-Father Kaj Munk, 1944

Asking God to fill me with holy rage.  That I would not let the numbness that is so easily accessible in America take the true joy that Christ offers as we come before him in surrender and choose to receive his grace that makes loving others hard and strong possible!

Our Favorite Brunch

One of Justins favorite recipes i have picked up is Vegan French toast I have to say that everytime I make this it gets better and better!

We didn't photograph our daily smoothie but brunch in our home is never complete without one.
Vegan(dairy free) French toast up close.

This is the recipe if any of you are into cooking dairy free
(Ingredients)
1.whole wheat sour dough bread
1. 1 tbsp. unbleached all purpose wheat flour
2. 1 tbsp. nutritional yeast
3. a pinch of cinnamon, and nutmeg
4. 1 cup of soy or vanilla almond milk. (you can also use coconut milk)

(Directions)
-Cook on stove at medium in a nonstick pan
-I drop a little Earth Balance to help the break cook
1. put all the ingredients in a big flat bowl and mix together well
2. drop the bread in the mixture and flip bread so both sides are soaked.
3. then drop the bread in the pan until it looks like it is cooked all the way through

* add a bit of powdered sugar if you want and 100% pure maple syrup. Oh and justin and I recommend a fruit smoothie and fresh ground coffee to go with your yummy french toast. ENJOY!

Both of us Sick at home on Inaguration Day

What a defining moment in the history of our Nation.

I mean 1 week after being married....we were both in our robes blowing our nose every 2 minutes....how pathetic are we :)

We were very sick and sad!

Our Honeymoon

Justin and I had a BLAST on our honeymoon. The highlighs were the awesome games of ping pong. (I impoved greatly over a week), laying out and Justin kinda laying out, Justin got to see a lot of Lizards and Iguanas(he's weird :), our 20min. workouts, lots and lots of good food, our dinner on the beach, Justin turned 36(yes he is...), playing tennis (we are HORRIBLE) but it was so much fun, reading books (we loooove to read). Ok so i hope you enjoy our pics! We dont have many. With only the two of us, there were only so many pictures we could take of ourselves.

The Wedding

I have been married almost 4 weeks now. And have had some time to look back on my wedding day and really think through all the emotions and thoughts. Your wedding day is said to be the MOST IMPORTANT DAY of your life. Especially if your a girl. We all daydream (well us girls and some guys) about what our wedding day will be like, feel like.

Waking up on the wedding day was such a weird feeling...the day i had always wondered about. Would it ever come and what would it be like? In the afternoon Sarah, Kendall, Brynn and I took some time to really spend time worshiping and praying. We listened to a song that repeated over and over again, "I am my beloved's and he is mine.....I will rest assured because I belong to you". I was reminded singing these lines over and over again that I ultimately belong to God and that His presence is what I long for even more than getting married. I am so thankful to be married and I see our wedding day as a stone of remembrance of what God did and the commitment we made to each other but I recognized on that day that the wedding would shortly pass and even my marriage wont last pass death but Christ remains! This was and is my joy.
